Building Safety Built In — Not Bolted On
Murther Fire Protection Ltd designs, installs and certifies passive fire protection systems that perform when it matters most — protecting people, property and your compliance position across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
About Murther Fire Protection Ltd
Specialists in Passive Fire Protection. Trusted by the People Who Build BRITAIN.
Murther Fire Protection Ltd is an independent, owner-led specialist contractor delivering passive fire protection systems that stop fire and smoke spreading at source. Our work sits inside walls, above ceilings, behind risers and on doorsets — out of sight to the building’s eventual occupants, but never out of sight on our drawings, on our installation records, or on the golden thread of information we hand back at the end of every project.
We exist because passive fire protection is too often treated as a last-minute trade — squeezed at the end of a programme, value-engineered into something less than the specification, and then signed off without proper third-party scrutiny. We reject that approach. Every package we deliver is technically led, third-party accredited, fully traceable and built to behave correctly under fire, not just to look correct on completion day.

Trusted Partners

About Murther Fire Protection Ltd
One Specialist Partner. Every Passive Fire Discipline
Most fire protection failures after project handover are caused by multiple uncoordinated trades working on the same fire-rated systems. To solve this, the company delivers a complete in-house passive fire protection solution — from initial surveys and planning to installation and final compliance documentation.
- Fire stopping at service penetrations
- Cavity barriers within concealed voids
- Fire-rated doorsets and ironmongery
- Acoustic and smoke sealing

Why Choose Murther
Five Reasons Specifiers Choose Murther
A proven partner for fire protection, delivering compliance, quality, and reliability at every stage

Third-Party Accreditation Across Every Workstream
Our installation teams operate under recognised third-party accreditation schemes, including IFC certification and Constructionline membership. Every fire door, fire stopping system and passive fire protection solution we install is supported by a clear audit trail, providing the quality assurance, compliance and traceability expected by clients, regulators and insurers.

Directly Employed, Continuously Trained Workforce
We do not rely on labour-only subcontractors for accredited work. Our operatives are PAYE-employed, IPAF and PASMA-trained where required, and regularly re-tested on system manufacturer CPDs.

Manufacturer-Agnostic, Specification-Led
We install systems from Promat, Rockwool, Hilti, Nullifire, FSi, Sika and others — selecting whatever the project specification, fire engineer and tested system data require, not whatever sits cheapest in our van.

Digital-First Quality Management
Every penetration, doorset and coating is photographed, GPS-tagged, drawing-marked and uploaded into our cloud-based quality system, giving you a live evidence pack you can audit at any time.

Compliance-Critical Reactive Response
When a fire risk assessment, fire and rescue audit or insurer inspection identifies a remedial action, we mobilise quickly — usually attending site within 48 hours of instruction for high-priority works.

What our Clients Say
Murther delivered the full compartmentation package on our 18-storey residential scheme on programme and to specification. Their digital sign-off pack made our Building Safety Regulator submission painless.
We engaged Murther to remediate a 400-door fire door programme across a hospital trust. Their surveyors caught issues two previous contractors missed and gave us a defensible audit position.
From quote to handover, Murther operated like a partner, not a supplier. Their willingness to attend design meetings and challenge the architect's detailing saved us thousands in late-stage rework.
